Two members of the popular rock band “Dragon Ash” were charged with possessing cannabis.
The indictor was Kensuke Kaneko (33), a member of “Dragon Ash”, who was charged with violating the Cannabis Control Law on the 19th of last month for possessing cannabis at his home in Kyoto. .
“Dragon Ash” is a 7-person band, and Defendant Kaneko is in charge of the base under the name “KenKen”.
Defendant Mac Farden Jesse Solato (38), the son of guitarist “Char” and working as a musician under the name of “JESSE”, also received several grams of cannabis at his home in Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo on the 19th of last month. He was charged with violating the Cannabis Control Law and other charges.
According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's investigation, Defendant Kaneko stated that “I knew it was cannabis. It was my own,” and Defendant Jesse stated, “Cannabis is mine.”
