After 3:30 pm on the 8th, out of 5 male high school students from 16 to 18 years old who came to play in the Tone River in Kumagaya City, Saitama Prefecture, two 17-year-olds and 18-year-olds were swept away and I knew whereabouts lost.

Two people were not found in the search on the 8th, and the police and the fire department stopped the search once due to the sunset and resumed on the morning of the 9th.

The police, etc. are in a position of about 40 people, looking for whereabouts by using an inflatable boat, etc., from the vicinity of the sword bridge on the border with Gunma Prefecture where two people are thought to have been washed away.

According to the police, three people were washed away into the river and one of them was able to swim to the opposite bank safely, but the remaining two were not visible.
