Criticism of mouse video diffusion in a convenience store

Convenience store giant “FamilyMart” apologized for shutting down the store because of the spread of videos of mice moving around in Shibuya, Tokyo and criticism of hygiene.

On Twitter, a video of several mice moving around on the floor and shelves was posted on the 5th in the FamilyMart store in downtown Shibuya Station.

This video has been played over 5 million times and has been posted one after another on the internet criticizing the hygiene of the store.

In response, “FamilyMart” acknowledged that a rat had appeared at this store, and apologized on the official website, and announced that it had been suspended from the 5th.

In the future, we will investigate whether the product will be removed and the cause will be investigated, and whether we will reinstate the business by eliminating rats and disinfecting the store.

FamilyMart says, “I apologize deeply for giving you unpleasant and uneasy thoughts.”
