Brazilian drug dealer Clofino da Silva, who tried to flee Sjana in his daughter's uniform, was found dead in his room, the Guardian reported.
It is expected that the prisoner committed suicide, days after the publication of a video documenting his attempt to escape the prisoner using his daughter.
Calvino da Silva, a 42-year-old drug dealer who served a prison sentence for decades, was arrested by the authorities while trying to escape from prison on Saturday disguising himself as his daughter's clothes.
Silva, who wore a strange silicone mask and a long black wig, was arrested and disguised in a woman's clothing, including a bra. When prison officials forced him to take off his disguise, he appeared in his real, sullen way.
In a sudden turnaround, prison officials in the city of Rio de Janeiro said they found Silva dead in a cell in a high-security unit at the Banjo prison compound.
"The detainee appears to have hanged himself using a bed sheet," the prison authority said in a statement, adding that it had opened an investigation.
