A 65-year-old Serb man turned to a strange trick to be able to identify a flight attendant and had to send a false message of a bomb on the flight to avoid her departure.

The man, who was arrested by the authorities, admitted he had sent a false report on the phone of the hotel where he lived with a bomb at Belgrade airport because he had hoped to meet the flight attendant after discovering she had left the hotel to go to work.

The man said that he met with a flight attendant at the Lufthansa company in Belgrade and wanted to see her. When he did not find her at the hotel where she was staying, he called the Nikola Tesla International Airport in the Serbian capital, Of Lufthansa.

The security of the plane took down the 130 passengers and five crew members and had to wait hours while a special police unit checked the plane before being given permission to leave for Frankfurt after it turned out to be a false report.

The police were able to reach the perpetrator after identifying the fixed line, which he used to make the call.

The court ordered the man to be detained for 30 days and will be charged with causing panic and disorder.
