KUWAIT (KUNA) - Kuwait Airways announced on Monday that its French-bound flight to Nice had been hit in its left wing after landing at the French airport, confirming that all passengers were safely and unharmed, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

The Kuwaiti Airways said in a press statement that the flight 182 to Nice was hit by a Boeing at 5:20 pm (Nice time) to the impact of the left wing of the gate of the central bridge extending from the terminal to the arena, while directing the plane from the ground Airport by the ground router and by mistake of routing.

She explained that all passengers and crew were taken down from the front gate of the aircraft safely, without any injuries.

She added that «the flight scheduled for Monday from Nice to Kuwait» was canceled, pointing out that «the concerned parties in the company are currently arrangements to provide alternative bookings and accommodation suitable for customers scheduled to travel on the canceled flight».

She said that the technical staff had made arrangements to repair the damage to the wing of the aircraft as soon as possible and return to work within the company's fleet, which in turn began with the competent French authorities in the necessary investigations.
