A retiree shot in Zeven, Lower Saxony, with an air pressure gun at playing children. A five-year-old boy was slightly injured in the head, as the police in Rotenburg an der Wümme announced. The 67-year-old had therefore repeatedly annoyed about the children in his neighborhood.

On Wednesday evening he is said to have gone out of his apartment with a pistol in the hallway and fired from an open window of the apartment building several times in the direction of the children who played at about 30 to 40 meters away. It was apparently a boy hit by a metal ball on the head.

The child came to a hospital. There superficial skin injuries were detected. Police officers confiscated the air-pressure pistol of the drugged suspect. The man was prosecuted for serious assault and gun violations.
