A little boy was born in the Paris Metro. The baby had been born on Wednesday evening in a car of line 6 at the station Glacière, pushed the public transport company RATP on Twitter.

"Many thanks to the doctor who was on the train and helped with the birth," it said. In addition, the railway company said that the boy is allowed to ride his RATP trains for free until his 25th birthday.

Metro line 6 connects the west with the east of the French capital. The Glacière elevated train station is located in the 13th arrondissement of the city.
