On a night in which the eyes and hearts were touched by the most beautiful girls in Lebanon, Maya Raidi was chosen on Sunday as Miss Lebanon for 2018 at a glittering ceremony held at the Forme de Beirut complex.

The pharmacy student took the title out of 30 girls competing to win the crown of beauty while Mira Tefili, first runner, Yara Bo Moncef, second runner, Vanessa Yazbek, third runner, Tatiana Sarovem, fourth runner-up.

In spontaneous words in which she expressed her joy at winning, Maya Raidi said she did not know how she won and exactly what happened. "Suddenly I got the crown on my head."

The judging panel was composed of George Kirdahi, singer Nancy Ajram, actress Nadine Najim, fashion designer Nicola Gibran, actor Adel Karam, beauty expert Bassam Fattouh, jewelry designer Dumat Zaghib, musician Guy Manoukian and former world beauty queen Demi Lee Neal Peters.

Prior to announcing the result, the contestants reviewed their beauty with their evening clothes and bathing suits and asked them to answer general and personal questions that reflected the nature of their personalities.

The former US-Lebanese Miss Reema Fakih organized the concert, which included artistic and lyrical passages in which many Lebanese stars such as Ragheb Alama and Maya Diab participated, as well as the Canadian singer of Lebanese origin Massari and the American singer of Moroccan origin, French Montana.

The media was shared by Mersal Ghanem and former Miss Lebanon Anabila Hilal, who attended the ceremony, which was attended by representatives of the presidency and the government, and prominent political and public figures, including Tourism Minister Avidis Kedianian.
