In the visor of opposition politicians, the association Marthe and Marie, to whom the region voted Wednesday a grant of 200 000 €. If for her, the organization welcomes "pregnant women in flats colocation" , the opposition of left, she sees especially a structure anti-abortion.

As revealed by Le Canard chained Wednesday, elected officials of the region were called this week to vote several hundreds of thousands of euros of subsidies to associations, presumed to be close to ultra-Catholic circles.

"The region respects the freedom of decision of each woman to keep her child or to resort to an abortion" , it is argued in the entourage of Mrs. Pécresse. "They all have the right to be supported regardless of their decision" , it adds, adding that the region finances "both family planning, IVG centers [...], but also support homes to pregnant women in difficulty and young mothers with babies " .

"The State and the City of Paris participate in its financing as well," says a source in the region. Allegations swept by the mayor of Paris, who interviewed by AFP, said "do not pay a euro to this association . "

The opposition denounces these financings

"Our community does not have to use public money to support the financial appetites of these pharmacies," says Hella Kribi-Romdhane, one of the members of the group Alternative Ecologist and Social (AES), saying that "the number of IVG centers continues to decline in Ile-de-France .
