A year ago Jacques Higelin disappeared, giant of the French song. On April 18th, his children, the musicians Izïa and Arthur H and the actor Kên Higelin, paid homage to him in their own way at the Printemps de Bourges.

From our special correspondent in Bourges, Sébastien Jédor

More than a tribute, " Jacques, Joseph, Victor sleeps " is a concert-event full of gaiety, with a dozen guests . Izïa, Arthur H, Kên, but also Jeanne Added, Jeanne Cherhal, Camille, Rodolphe Burger and the actor Matthieu Amalric. All gathered on a circular stage, the piano in the center.

If Izïa, Higelin's daughter, sometimes doubted such a concert, the memory of her father was stronger than anything. " What really makes me go and tell me that we have to do things is because I say to myself" he would have liked that too much, he would rather we do this show rather than stay at home to be sad " "Says Izïa Higelin.

The madness and poetry of Jacques Higelin found

I can not say I love you anymore , Irradiated , Fallen from the sky ... Higelin's songs shine in all their poetry and madness. The show " Jacques, Joseph, Victor sleeps " gives way to improvisation. " I did not say it had to be a big mess ," warns Arthur H. " I said there had to be something a bit chaotic, alive and not too formatted, because that otherwise it would be boring. It would not be the measure of Jacques [Higelin], obviously. It must be life in motion, and we celebrate someone who was very alive, "he adds.

At Bourges tonight, for sure, Jacques Higelin would have loved to be there. The public had " matches in the bottom of [his] eyes ".
