The district court Darmstadt has sentenced a trickster to two years and eleven months in prison. The confessed 35-year-old had spent in the conviction of the court in three cases to elderly ladies as a police officer, so that they hand over their money, coins and bullion.

The elderly were previously called by alleged police officers and persuaded to store their valuables for protection against burglars at the highway police and handed over to a female official. The district court imposed the penalty for commercial gang fraud.

According to the prosecution, in one case a victim from Heidesheim near Mainz emptied his safe deposit box and presented the woman with gold bars and coins worth around 152,000 euros in a shopping center. In a fraud attempt in Darmstadt, the real police arrested the woman.
