German Air Traffic Control (DFS) has resolved the problems in its pilot software. In the night of Thursday you have installed a proven previous version, said the federal owned GmbH in Langen near Frankfurt.

The reduction in airspace imposed for safety reasons was lifted. The disruption occurred last Wednesday, prompting DFS to cut capacity in the affected area by 25 percent. The safety of air traffic was not endangered.

According to DFS, the disruption was limited to the Center Langen near Frankfurt. Its area ranges roughly from Lake Constance to Kassel and from the Dutch border to Thuringia. In the area are the larger airports Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Cologne-Bonn and in parts of the arrival and departure Dusseldorf.

Disabilities were mainly in Frankfurt, where several dozen flights were canceled daily. The affected software provides the pilots on electronic control strips with all important flight data for each flight. These are, for example, type of aircraft, route and expected fly-by time.
