Finistère, Côtes-d'Armor and Ille-et-Vilaine are on red alert Sunday for pollution to fine individuals. Peaks were recorded in Brest, Saint-Brieuc and Saint-Malo.

Finistère, Côtes-d'Armor and Ille-et-Vilaine are on red alert for fine particle pollution since Friday. Morbihan is classified orange, says Air Breizh Monday.

On a scale of 10, the three departments concerned have an index of 8 or an air quality "bad to very bad", according to the observatory. Peaks of pollution with PM10 (fine particles) were observed in Brest, Saint-Brieuc and Saint-Malo, indicates France Bleu Breizh Izel. The south of the region is however less affected. The Morbihan is classified as orange with an index of 6, a quality of air "average to poor". The cities of Quimper and Rennes are therefore less exposed.

Some measures to observe to limit the effects

Nevertheless, the Air Breizh observatory recalls the sanitary measures in case of peak pollution. It recommends giving priority to short trips, moderate activities and avoiding high traffic areas at peak periods. The ventilation and ventilation measures of the dwellings are always to be observed.
