Peter van der Linden, actor and stage director, died at the age of 95 in his birthplace The Hague. His family placed a death advertisement in De Volkskrant.


Peter van der Linden, actor and stage director, died at the age of 95 in his birthplace The Hague. His family placed a death advertisement in De Volkskrant .

Van der Linden played with various theater groups and in 1971, together with a few others, founded The Hague theater group De Appel. For a long time the group was one of the most successful theater companies in the country, until 2016 when the subsidy was canceled.

Van der Linden won an Louis d'Or as actor in 1976 for best actor, for his role in the Greek piece Agamemnon .

The actor debuted in 1948, at the time he played with the Zuid Nederlandsch Tooneel.
