In Moscow, the composer Yevgeny Krylatov died at the age of 86. According to RIA Novosti, at the time of his death, Krylatov was suffering from bilateral pneumonia.

The date and place of the funeral is still unknown. At the same time, the head of the Moscow City Duma’s Culture Commission, Yevgeny Gerasimov, said that the memory of the composer would be immortalized in the capital.

Condolences over the death of Krylatov were expressed by members of the Russian Union of Composers. The organization noted that his works have replenished the golden fund of culture of the country.

“His beautiful music has been loved by several generations. During the years of creative activity, Evgeny Krylatov created a large number of symphonic, chamber, pop music. He is the author of music for more than 160 films and cartoons. The Union of Composers of Russia expresses its condolences to the relatives and friends of the composer, ”the organization’s website reports.

The director and first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Culture, Vladimir Bortko, called Krylatov one of the best Russian composers.

“I heard his music when I was already quite an adult. He wrote "Winged Swing" and now flew on them. What a pity and how offensive. There are people who make art. This man made so much music in our cinema that would be enough for ten composers, ”Bortko said in an interview with RT.

Krylatov’s colleagues remember the composer not only as a talented melody player, but also a sympathetic person who is ready to help at any time.

“It was a wonderful person, very bright and joyful. I remember now that I never saw him angry. He never envied anyone and was friendly towards everyone. He was a terrific man, ready to help at any moment. God-given melodist, he created for his creative life an inexhaustible supply of fantastic music. In our melodious time it is very important to remain such a master. Fortunately, this music will remain with us forever, but it’s a pity that its creator left, ”the television channel Zvezda quotes composer Maxim Dunayevsky.

Representatives of Soyuzmultfilm, in turn, noted the enormous contribution of Krylatov to Soviet cinema. Members of the film studio also said that they were ready to assist the composer’s relatives in organizing the funeral.

“The creative legacy left by Evgeny Pavlovich is phenomenal - he created some of the most brilliant compositions for the“ golden collection ”of Soviet and Russian films and cartoons. Without his music, the face of our animation would not be what it is now. The melodies created by Krylatov had a unique quality - to be remembered from the first listening, ”Yulian Slashcheva, quoting the board of the film studio, was quoted by the Moscow City News Agency.

Created a repertoire of children's music

Evgeny Krylatov is from the city of Lysva, Perm Region. He was born on February 23, 1934 in a family of workers. Subsequently, his parents moved to the suburb of Perm, where Krylatov graduated from a music school, and later enrolled in a music school.

In the 1950s, he continued to study music in the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Krylatov was educated at once in two faculties - composition and playing the piano. The composers' classmates in the class of the composition were such musicians as Alfred Schnittke and Eduard Lazarev.

Among Krylatov's debut works are the “Pamir Capriccio” and the ballet “Flower-seven-flowers”, which for several years was included in the repertoire of the Bolshoi Theater.

In the early 1960s, the composer expanded his creative horizons by turning to cinema. His debut as a cinema composer took place with the release in 1961 of the films “Absolutely Serious” and “Life From the First”.

Krylatov wrote music for such films as “Property of the Republic”, “I am looking for a man”, “Don't part with your loved ones”, “The woodpecker doesn’t have a headache”, “Oh, this Nastya!” And “Do not go, girls, get married”.

The composer was truly glorified by musical themes for the animated films “Umka”, “Santa Claus and Summer” and the trilogy “Prostokvashino”, as well as the feature films “The Magicians” (“Three White Horses”), “Guest from the Future” (“The Beautiful far ") and" The Adventures of Electronics "(" Winged Swing ").

Children's music in Russia has become what it is, largely due to the work of Krylatov, considered by public and cultural figures. According to the head of the Social Committee of the Federation Council, Valery Ryazansky, the composer managed to make the childhood of Soviet and Russian children bright.

Creativity Krylatova in film covers a wide period - over 50 years. He wrote music for more than 160 film projects. In 1994, Yevgeny Krylatov was awarded the title "People's Artist of Russia".
