Being a gallerist in Cameroon is not easy. Marem Malong Samb is the director of the only Cameroonian gallery present at the international fair "Art Paris", from April 4th to 7th at the Grand Palais. Based in Douala, she tells us about the situation of contemporary Cameroonian art in the world and Cameroon, a country where there is no university of fine arts to become an artist. However, Cameroonian painters and visual artists like Barthélémy Toguo, Pascale Marthine Tayou, Bili Bidjocka and Boris Nzebo are among the most famous artists on the international scene.
