Mass dismissal of officials from Vladimir Zelensky’s office was justified by “staff optimization,” says press secretary Sergei Nikiforov. Earlier, the head of the Kyiv regime dismissed from the post of first assistant to the president Sergei Shefir, who is predominantly featured in the media as an old friend of Zelenky.

Experts say the current reshuffle is related to his desire to strengthen his personal power amid the absence of presidential elections, which were supposed to take place on March 31.
