She specifically pointed out that among the 832 poverty-stricken counties, Guanghe County, Gansu Province, which is located in the deeply impoverished area of the "three districts and three states," achieved poverty alleviation in February this year. The National Taiwan Enterprise Federation, local Taiwan Associations and the majority of Taiwanese businessmen Taiwanese enterprises actively participated in it.
More than 160 poverty alleviation projects have been implemented in the fields of industry, employment, education, medical and health care, and more than 60 million yuan has been invested and donated (RMB, the same below).
The infrastructure of 42 primary and secondary schools and kindergartens has been repaired or newly built, which has greatly improved and upgraded local teaching conditions; more than 10 Taiwanese enterprises have signed long-term employment agreements with Guanghe County, and organized the transfer of more than 8,000 laborers. The revenue was nearly 150 million yuan.
Zhu Fenglian mentioned that some friends from Taiwanese businessmen said, "I am also an authentic farmer. I come from the countryside in Taiwan. When I get here, I am a family. I can't make money by myself. I have to be with everyone and local folks. Get rich together.” There are also friends from Taiwan businessmen who said, “A good relationship between the two sides of the strait will help the people on both sides of the strait be good. Taiwanese businessmen are the beneficiaries of reform and opening up. Of course, they must step forward and give back to society.”
