At the same time, the speed limit sections of the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway and Zheng-Tai High-speed Railway within the administration of the bureau have also returned to normal speeds.
In late July, affected by the continuous heavy rainfall in Henan Province, many lines and sections within the administration of the bureau suffered severe water damage.
Among them, the Zhengzhou-Luoyang section of the Longhai Railway was the worst-hit area, and there were as many as 227 water disasters on the upstream and downstream lines.

After the water disaster broke out, the bureau mobilized all parties to rush to repair the line equipment, arrange and do a good job of comforting passengers on the stranded trains at the station and providing food and beverages, so as to maintain the bottom line of driving safety.
At the same time, according to changes in rainfall and water hazards, measures such as speed limit operation, midway turnaround, roundabout transportation, and train suspension were adopted to actively avoid danger, and to restore transportation order under the premise of ensuring traffic safety.
It is understood that after the Longhai Railway is reopened to traffic, the railway department will continue to operate trains following the principle of "goods before passengers" to ensure transportation safety.
At the initial stage of opening, the normal operation of passenger trains will be resumed by means of freight trains pressing lanes, speed limit operation in some sections, uninterrupted patrol and control by dedicated personnel, and restoration and reinforcement of concentrated repair periods to ensure that the line conditions meet the passenger train operating standards.
