This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian leader.

“Vladimir Zelensky and Gitanas Nauseda exchanged views on the development of the situation in Belarus.

The head of the Ukrainian state drew attention to the commonality of the approaches of Ukraine and the European Union in the assessment of the Belarusian internal political crisis, ”the press release says.

During the conversation, they also discussed the situation in Donbass and preparations for the negotiations in the Normandy format.

At the end of August, the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Dmitry Kuleba announced a pause in contacts with Belarus until Kiev is "convinced" that they "will not incur reputational, moral, ethical losses for Ukraine."

Minsk noted that such a decision damages bilateral relations and indicates the coordination of Kiev's official position with the political leadership of the EU and the United States.
