This update, deployed this Wednesday on all compatible iPhones, includes a new feature that makes it easier to unlock the iPhone if you wear a mask.
An intelligent system
The Face ID system now automatically detects the presence of a mask on your face. However, the iPhone will not unlock. But rather than multiplying unsuccessful attempts, it will redirect you directly to the unlocking system via code. On the other hand, if you remove your mask, the biometric unlocking will work normally again, specifies Numerama .
This update to iOS 13 capable of distinguishing hidden faces is available for iPhone X, Xr, Xs, 11 and 11 pro, as well as for iPad Pro equipped with Face ID.
