The summer course is held at the ground combat school outside Kvarn in Motala municipality and is organized by Air Force volunteers with support from the Helicopter Flotilla.
One idea with the course is to make more people want to do military service in the future.
- You get a very good feeling of what awaits you in a few years, says participant Ludvig Almén.
Get to know new people
Most of the young people did not know each other before.
- We clicked right away.
We are like a small military family, says participant Emma Andersson.
Corporal Lizette Lindberg took the course herself a few years ago and is now an instructor, something that is not always easy with teenagers.
- Many are not used to taking the responsibility that is required and this means that we must be very disciplined towards them, which can be a small culture shock.
