Young people armed with knives arrested near a high school in Essonne

Three teenagers and two adults were arrested near the Talma high school in Brunoy (Essonne), Monday around 5 p.m.

They were in possession of three knives and a tear gas canister;

According to our colleagues, the police were able to control them after being alerted thanks to an anti-brawl WhatsApp loop.

This system involves school staff, facilitators, the town hall and the police.

A message on this loop thus signaled the presence of the young suspects around the establishment.

A brawl already last Friday

They were taken into custody.

Their arrest may have avoided a confrontation between young people, specifies the Ile-de-France daily.

The defendants, from a district of Yerres, could have wanted to fight with other young people from Brunoy.

It could be an attempt at “revenge”.

Last Friday, around thirty young people clashed at the end of class.

The police then intervened to put an end to the brawl.
