The Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the organizers of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, has approved the Yas Links Course on Yas Island to host the next year's edition for the first time in the history of the tournament, which is the first stop in the Rolex Series European Championship 2022.

A press release said: "Yas Links, designed by Kyle Phillips, ranked 48th in Golf Digest's ranking of the 100 best golf courses in the world, and will host the competition from 20 to 23 January."

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Aref Al Awani, said: “We are proud of all our sports facilities that host various events and support the successes of our plans, and we are keen, by transferring the tournament, which won a large number of international awards to Yas Links Stadium for the first time, to add more excellence and organizational dazzle. For the championship process, and to work on presenting an exceptional version, especially as it is held on Yas Island, the global tourist destination, and on the most prestigious and wonderful golf courses in the world (Yas Links), looking forward with the partners to embody a new experience full of progress and prosperity for the championship.”
