At the source of the Xin'an River in Xiuning County, Huangshan City, Anhui Province, there is a group of ancient trees over a thousand years old.
Recently, the local government organized professional forest rangers to "massage" the old trees.
The rangers clean the trunks of moss, spray copper sulphate, pack hoops on the tree, clean up rotten branches, and apply healing agents, thereby prolonging the life of the old and famous trees.
It is understood that there are currently 807 protected ancient trees in this ancient forest, of which 14 are national first-class ancient trees with a diameter of 100 cm or more and are over 500 years old, 67 are national second-class ancient trees, and 226 are national third-class ancient trees. .
The local government not only listed the old trees for protection, but also hired experts to carry out scientific conservation of the old trees, so that the old trees can grow healthily and better protect the ecological environment.
