The mobilization meeting for the Sichuan-Tibet Railway (Ya'an-Nyingchi section) was held on November 8th at the Sejila Mountain Tunnel and the Dadu River Bridge, which are the controlling projects of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway.

The Chengdu-Ya'an section of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway was put into operation in December 2018, and the construction of the Lhasa-Nyingchi section started in June 2015. The project is currently progressing smoothly. The Ya'an-Nyingchi section that started this time is located in Sichuan Province and the Tibet Autonomous Region. The line starts from Ya'an, Sichuan and ends at Linzhi, Tibet. It is a national class I two-track railway. The newly-built main line is 1011 kilometers long and the design speed is 120 to 200 kilometers per hour. The project is organized and implemented by the National Railway Group.
