The opening ceremony of the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2022 was held in Boao, Hainan on the morning of the 21st. President Xi Jinping delivered a keynote speech titled "Joining Hands to Meet Challenges and Cooperation to Create the Future" via video.
Xi Jinping said: "The Asian people have gone through hot and cold wars and vicissitudes of life. They know that peace is precious and development is hard-won. In the past few decades, the Asian region has maintained overall stability and sustained rapid economic growth, achieving the 'Asian miracle'. Asia is good. The world can only be better. We must continue to develop and build Asia well, demonstrate Asia's resilience, wisdom and strength, and create an anchor for world peace and stability, a source of growth momentum, and a new highland for cooperation."
