- Labor Force Survey: Job destruction caused by coronavirus and economic hibernation beats all records
There is only one country out of 33 analyzed by the OECD that offers worse job expectations than Spain by the end of the year. It is South Africa, with an expected unemployment rate of 35%. In the case of Spain, the scenario places the unemployment rate at 25.5%. The OECD average is 12.6%. The good news: the forecast for December continues to offer a better rate than the 26.94% reached in the first quarter of 2013. The bad news: unemployment levels may end up being even much worse. How much worse? It depends on the evolution of the pandemic and on how the Government manages the so-called economic reconstruction and the procedent funds
