In the men's singles at the World Table Tennis Championships, Jang Woo-jin (Army National Army) and Im Jong-hoon (KGC Ginseng Corporation) secured the bronze medal.

Woojin Jang and Jonghoon Lim defeated Wong Chunting and Ho Kwan Kit (Hong Kong) 3-1 in the men's doubles quarterfinals on the 5th day of the 2021 World Table Tennis Championships held in Houston, Texas, USA, and advanced to the semifinals.

At the World Table Tennis Championships, bronze medals are awarded to all losers in the semi-finals without a match for 3rd or 4th place.

Jang Woo-jin and Im Jong-hoon, in their mid-20s, who first made their international debut at the 2017 German Open, secured a medal at the first world championship, raising expectations.

It is the first time in four years that Korean men's table tennis won a medal in the men's doubles at the World Championships in Dusseldorf in 2017, after Lee Sang-soo (Samsung Life Insurance) and Jung Young-sik (Mirae Asset Securities) won the bronze medal.

Jong-Hoon Lim and Woo-Jin Jang will compete with Japan's Sunsuke Dogami and Yukiya Uda to advance to the final.
