For the first time since the end of the military evacuation mission, those in need of protection had previously been flown out of Kabul. The National Security Council of the White House announced that the Taliban had shown themselves to be cooperative. According to a report in the Washington Post newspaper, the chartered aircraft of the Qatari airline Qatar Airways included 211 dual Afghan citizens, including citizens of Germany, the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands and Ukraine. The American government did not say how many people actually got on board.
