The 24th Winter Olympics will kick off in Beijing on February 4, 2022.

The Sports Department of Chinanews.com has launched a series of column "Hundred Questions about the Winter Olympics", which aims to popularize the knowledge of the Winter Olympics, answer hot questions, share interesting stories about ice and snow, and help everyone have a better viewing experience at the Beijing Winter Olympics.

The 85th Winter Olympics 100 Questions | How to formulate the audience policy for the Beijing Winter Olympics?

What kind of viewing policy will be adopted for the Beijing Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics has always been the focus of everyone's concern.

In September last year, key policies for the prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic at the Beijing Winter Olympics were released.

In view of the severe and complex situation of the global COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control, in order to prevent the possible spread of the COVID-19 epidemic and ensure the safety of all participating parties, the policy is clear not to sell tickets to overseas audiences, but only to domestic audiences who meet the relevant requirements for epidemic prevention and control.

On the 17th, the audience policy for the Beijing Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympic Games was finalized-the original plan was to adjust to directionally organize audiences to watch the games on-site through public ticket sales.

The policy is clear, spectators need to strictly abide by the relevant requirements of the new crown pneumonia epidemic prevention and control before, during and after watching the game, so as to create a good atmosphere for the smooth holding of the event under the premise of epidemic prevention and control.

The Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee stated that the reason for making such adjustments is that the situation of epidemic prevention and control is still severe and complicated, and it is out of consideration for ensuring the health and safety of Olympic-related personnel and spectators.

In order to welcome the upcoming audience, the venues of the Beijing Winter Olympics and the Winter Paralympic Games have made adequate preparations, which have been fully reflected in the previously concluded test matches.

Take the Luge World Cup held last November as an example. This is the first test with spectators in the "Meet in Beijing" series of test activities.

The race was held at the National Snowmobile and Sled Center "Snow Dragon", and about 300 spectators attended the race.

In order to do a good job in the epidemic prevention and control of the test, audiences need to show double green codes when entering the venue, including the green code of Beijing Health Treasure and the green code of the State Council Big Data itinerary card.

After completing the temperature measurement, the audience walks into the audience viewing area through a special entry flow line. The viewing area does not contact the venue staff, athletes and other customer groups, and the flow lines do not cross to ensure the safety of the area.

In addition, anti-epidemic material stands are set up in the ticket gates, audience stands, heating areas and other areas of the venue where spectators are easy to gather, so that the audience can receive necessary anti-epidemic materials at any time.

Han Zirong, the full-time vice chairman and secretary-general of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, revealed recently that the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee will maintain close communication with the International Olympic Committee and determine the guidelines for audience epidemic prevention according to the epidemic situation.
