Nintendo has always had a strong taste for original game controllers: the oldest probably remember the Wiimote and the Nunchuck of the Wii, which were not already appreciated by all players.
With the Nintendo Switch, the Japanese manufacturer has done it again by offering its Joy-Con Switch, modular controllers, covered with sensors to multiply the gaming experiences. It is possible to play with only one Joy-Con, to combine two, to use them as a traditional joystick or in an approach closer to that of the Wiimote.

It is an ergonomic controller, inspired by classic joysticks that have proven themselves over the past decades.
It includes all the buttons found on a pair of Joy-Con, and it is also possible to use it to scan Amiibos since it has an NFC reader.
It is equipped with a battery whose autonomy goes up to 40 hours and it is recharged using a USB cable which is provided.

Pair of Nintendo Joy-Con controllers, the colored option

Do the controllers work with all Nintendo Switch models?
There are three versions of the Nintendo Switch: the classic version, the Nintendo Switch Lite which doesn't connect to a TV, and the Nintendo Switch OLED which has a better screen.
In all three cases, the console is equipped with Bluetooth wireless connectivity, as well as a USB Type-C port.
As a result, all Nintendo Switch models can be linked with a Switch-compatible controller, whether wired or wireless.
It should be noted, however, that in the case of the Nintendo Switch Lite, the lack of a docking station to connect the console to a television can make connecting to a wireless controller a little more complicated due to the location of the connector.
Therefore, it is rather recommended to play with a wireless controller on the Switch Lite, for more comfort.
How to connect your controllers to the Nintendo Switch?
As often with game consoles, it is important to synchronize the controller with the Nintendo Switch when using it for the first time.
For Joy-Cons, the simplest solution is to attach them to the sides of the Switch screen, for automatic synchronization.
If you have a Switch Lite, you have to go to the console menu, symbolized by a Joy-Con on the home page.
Choose the "Change Style/Order" option, and sync your new controllers that way.
This method also works with the Switch Pro controller and other wireless controllers offered by alternative brands to Nintendo, such as PowerA, for example.
Synchronization only takes a few seconds.
Finally, if your controller is wired, you must connect it to the console or its docking station for it to be automatically recognized by the device.
