The Second China Cheongsam Cultural Festival Paper-cut Works Exhibition co-sponsored by the Shenyang Municipal Party Committee Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of China and Shenyang Federation of Literary and Art Circles opened in Shenyang on the 20th.
The exhibition takes the cheongsam element as the main content and the paper-cutting art as the main form, with nearly a hundred works on display.
The pattern includes both classical beauties in traditional cheongsam and urban women in modern cheongsam.
"The cheongsam full of patterns with paper-cuts is more exquisite." Li Changzhi, a citizen of Shenyang who came to visit the exhibition, said, pointing to the "Sheng Jing Qunfang Picture".
In this "Sheng Jing Qun Fang Tu", the Shenyang Forbidden City is the background in the distance, and in front of the Forbidden City, 23 beautiful women in cheongsam are standing or sitting with different expressions.
What is even more amazing is the cheongsam style on them, some are simple and dignified, some are luxurious and dazzling, and the superb skills of paper-cutting are clear at a glance.
Cao Baoming said that for hundreds of years, cheongsam, as a traditional dress for Chinese women, has become an important symbol of Chinese traditional culture.
Paper-cutting is also a traditional folk art that the people like to hear, and its inherited visual image and modeling format contain rich historical and cultural information.
"When cheongsam meets paper-cutting, the combination of cheongsam and paper-cutting deepens people's broader recognition of traditional culture, which is conducive to the inheritance and development of these two traditional cultures."
