Ephemeral messages offer "peace of mind"
Depending on the results of these two tests, the 90-day and 24-hour periods could soon be used by all users of the messaging application. Ephemeral messages provide "the peace of mind of knowing your conversations won't stick around indefinitely, without sacrificing the convenience of being able to know what you were chatting about," WhatsApp said.
