Bremen (AP) - Werder Bremen will most likely play again in the away game at VfL Wolfsburg without central defender Milos Veljkovic.

"With Milos Veljkovic, I'm pretty sure that we'll wait another week," said coach Florian Kohfeldt on Thursday.

The 25-year-old had recently struggled with adductor problems.

The situation in the defense is basically good, said Kohfeldt.

With a view to the many upcoming games and the very short break this year around the turn of the year, he does not want to take “any unnecessary risk”.

One day before the game, Kohfeldt confirmed at Lower Saxony, who are still unbeaten in this Bundesliga season (8.30 p.m. / DAZN), that center forward Niclas Füllkrug with a calf injury is still missing.

"Niclas Füllkrug won't make the game in Wolfsburg," he said.
