There are 1,267,047 sets of Beijing Winter Olympic Coins and 2,506,463 sets of Winter Olympic Banknotes. The limit for each person to reserve the Winter Olympic Coins and Winter Olympic Banknotes is still 20 sets.

  In November and December 2021, the central bank successively issued ordinary commemorative coins for the 24th Winter Olympic Games (referred to as "Winter Olympic coins") and commemorative banknotes for the 24th Winter Olympic Games (referred to as "Winter Olympic Banknotes").

  Among them, the Winter Olympic banknotes were issued on December 21 last year, a set of 2, each set includes 1 ice sports item and 1 snow sports item, the denomination is 20 yuan, and the number of issued 200 million sets (including retained historical currency files) 40,000 sets).

The first exchange of the Winter Olympic banknotes ended on December 27 last year.

  According to the data of the Central Bank, the total number of sets of Winter Olympic banknotes that can be reserved is 199.96 million sets, 137.64 million sets have been reserved, the reservation rate is 68.84%, 100,330 sets have been exchanged, and the exchange progress is 75.05%, and there are 9,666 sets left in the country. 10,000 sets are not exchanged.

  "Under the denomination numbers on the front of the commemorative banknotes for snow sports, if you observe through light, you can see the multi-layered watermark of the Bingdundun pattern.   The Winter Olympics Coins will be officially issued on November 18, 2021. A set of 2 coins, each with a face value of 5 yuan, will be issued in 200 million sets (including 40,000 sets of historical currency files).

  The first exchange of Winter Olympic coins has ended on November 24, 2021. According to the data released by the central bank, 189.83 million sets have been reserved, with a reservation rate of 94.93%, and 13750 sets have been exchanged, with a conversion progress of 72.43%.

Based on this, it can be calculated that the remaining 62.46 million sets of Winter Olympic coins have not been exchanged nationwide.

Undertake the appointment redemption work

  According to the arrangement of the central bank, the exchange of Winter Olympic coins and Winter Olympic banknotes will be jointly undertaken by Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Bank of Communications, Postal Savings Bank of China, Huaxia Bank, and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank.   According to the data released on the official website of BOC, the quota of Winter Olympic banknotes distributed by BOC Beijing branch is 802,758 sets, and the quota of Winter Olympic coins is 390,846 sets.

Failed to pass verification

  It is understood that the central bank will check all the reservation registration records of the Winter Olympics coins and Winter Olympics banknotes. This time, the public who repeatedly reserved the Winter Olympics coins and Winter Olympics banknotes at more than two undertaking bank outlets, as well as those who have previously issued ordinary commemorative coins. The public with repeated reservation records will not be able to pass the verification and cannot be exchanged.

The public can log in to the official website of the host bank to check the reservation result after 24:00 on February 15, 2022.

  The verification period of the Winter Olympic coins and the Winter Olympic banknotes is from February 16 to 17, 2022.

During the verification period, members of the public who fail to pass the verification can go to the branch of the bank that undertakes the appointment registration with valid identity documents to cancel the default record and retain the exchange qualification.

If the public handles the cancellation of default records and the retention of exchange qualifications on behalf of others, they must provide valid IDs of the agent and the agent.
