Beeskow (dpa / bb) - The employees of the packaging manufacturer Linpac in Beeskow (Oder-Spree district) stopped their work early on Thursday morning.
The Mining, Chemical and Energy Industrial Union (IG BCE) called for the 24-hour warning strike.
"Everything is going according to plan so far," said IG-BCE union secretary Anis Ben-Rhouma on site.
At the beginning of the early shift, the machines in the company were shut down and a strike guard was set up in front of the factory gate at the same time.
Ben-Rhouma reckons with 15 to 20 workers per shift at the strike guard.
A total of three shifts are planned until Friday morning.
With the labor dispute, the union wants to achieve its own house contract for the company.
Employees at Linpac in Beeskow have been earning significantly less for the same work for years than at the Linpac site in Ritterhude in Lower Saxony, according to IG BCE.
Therefore, among other things, 600 euros more pay for employees and a one-time corona bonus are required.
