Volkswagen will soon transfer production of the Passat from Emden to Germany, to the Bratislava plant in Slovakia.
This change will be made in 2023 after an investment of 1 billion euros to adapt the production chain.
However, according to some sources, the German manufacturer would abandon the sedan version in favor of the station wagon.

This astonishing decision would follow the success of the Skoda Superb, which competes with the less spacious and more expensive Passat 4-door.
