In mid-June, the Swedish Work Environment Authority carried out inspections in Uppsala, and at two nursing homes, protective visors were discovered that were not approved as personal protective equipment. The reason was that the visor lacked the so-called CE marking, ie did not meet the EU's safety requirements. One of the visors must also have had a false marking.

The Swedish Work Environment Authority has now banned the models from being used in the business. For each time it is broken, the accommodation must pay SEK 100,000 in fines.

"Since there is an immediate and serious risk of ill health or accidents, the decision must also apply immediately," the two decisions state.
