A spokesman for the famous McDonald's restaurant chain in Britain announced that an investigation had been opened into a brutal assault on a customer that provoked widespread resentment, to find out its circumstances and the reason for the security guard's assault on the customer.
A shocking video clip, published by "The Sun" newspaper, documented the moment a McDonald's security guard punched a customer in the face, causing her to fall to the ground, and then violently pulled her out of the shop.
The woman, whose name has not been released, is shown trying to defend herself, holding the guard's legs to stand, before shouting at her "Get away from me" and pulling her by her legs out.
A spokesperson for the famous restaurant chain said that the guard is affiliated with a private company, and that his service will be terminated as punishment.
The spokesperson stressed that the fast food giant (McDonald's) has a "zero tolerance policy towards violence or abuse."
