This Tuesday, Villeurbanne was designated "French Capital of Culture 2022", facing the cities of Brest, Laval, Le Mans, Saint-Paul de la Réunion, Sète and the community of municipalities of Val Briard.

Villeurbanne is the first city to obtain this new label created by the Ministry of Culture to "promote an ambitious cultural project".

As explained in a video posted on social networks this Tuesday at noon, this label will “enhance heritage, support artistic creation, boost access to culture for all and the attractiveness of a region”.
