Video: A bear stuck in a power pole causes a power outage

A bear in Wilcox, southern Arizona, caused a brief power outage after it climbed into a power pole and got stuck in its wires, The Guardian reported.

The newspaper added that as soon as the electricity company was notified, the authorities quickly cut off the electricity, in order to ensure that the animal might be electrocuted, and then the company sent one of the workers to help the animal.

The operator immediately turned off the electricity and climbed up to the bear via a crane, and helped him down using an 8-foot fiberglass stick to push the bear down unharmed.

It is reported that this is the second time in a month that a bear in the state has climbed the electricity pole.
