16 September 2020 Condemn the Ciontoli family to 14 years of imprisonment for voluntary murder: this is the request of the pg Vincenzo Saveriano at the Bis Appeal trial for the murder of Marco Vannini, killed by a gunshot on the night between 17 and 18 May 2015 while he was at his girlfriend's house in Ladispoli, on the Roman coast.

Alternatively, the prosecution asked to retain only the relatives of Antonio Ciontoli, who mortally wounded Vannini, responsible for an anomalous complicity in murder and to sentence them to the penalty of 9 years and 4 months of imprisonment.

The second trial was ordered after the sentence of the judges of the first criminal section of the Court of Cassation on 7 February last, which had accepted the request of the civil parties and of the deputy attorney general to cancel the appeal sentence for the Ciontoli family and arrange a new process for the recognition of voluntary homicide with possible intent.

For the murder of the boy, just twenty years old, on January 29 last year the judges of the Court of Assizes of Appeal in Rome had sentenced the father of his girlfriend, Antonio Ciontoli, for manslaughter to 5 years in prison against 14 that they had been inflicted on him in the first degree for voluntary murder, confirming, instead, the three-year sentences for Ciontoli's two children, Martina and Federico, and for his wife Maria Pezzillo.
