The incident occurred on July 5 at about 16:20 (14:20 Moscow time).
“Insignificant damage was caused to four private houses in the mahalla Majnuntol in the city of Termez, the fifth shell was found on the football field.
The discovered shells have been defused by a sapper unit,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The competent authorities of Uzbekistan, together with the Afghan side, are establishing the causes of the incident.
