May 04, 2021 Former US President Donald Trump has launched a space on his website where he can post messages that can be shared by others on Twitter and Facebook, sites where he remains banned after the clashes on the Capitol on January 6.

The launch comes on the eve of Facebook's supervisory board decision on whether to maintain Trump's indefinite suspension from the social platform.

The site, says Fox News, is called "From the Desk of Donald J. Trump" and contains short posts from Trump.

Trump's senior adviser Jason Miller announced to Fox News in March that the former president was planning to launch his own social media site. Twitter said its ban on Trump is permanent, even if he runs again. Alphabet's YouTube said it will restore Trump's channel when it decides the risk of violence has decreased.
