“This bill will give the president expanded powers to more quickly enter into lend-lease agreements directly with Ukraine and accelerate the delivery of military equipment necessary to protect vulnerable civilians from a Russian military invasion,” the senator said in a statement.
Earlier, the Russian Embassy in the United States called on the United States authorities to abandon plans to supply weapons to Ukraine.
The State Department announced a new supply of military aid to Ukraine in the coming weeks.
