Queen Elizabeth II canceled her participation in an official ceremony in London on Remembrance Sunday on November 14, in tribute to British soldiers killed in action.

The monarch hurt her back, according to Buckingham Palace.

A new health concern for the British sovereign, who was eagerly awaited for her first public appearance since her hospitalization last month.

She had only missed this ceremony six times in the past.

Because of traveling abroad or because she was pregnant with her two youngest children.

So the participation of the queen, this Sunday, for this day of commemoration was particularly expected.

She also had "

the firm intention

" to go there, as Buckingham Palace had indicated a few days ago.

Hard to stand

An official statement finally announced in the morning that she would stay at Windsor Castle due to a back problem.

It would have been difficult for the monarch to stand for long minutes or to walk through the huge corridors of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, from where she was to follow the ceremony.

We must not forget that Elizabeth II is now 95 years old.

Reassuring signs

But this announcement adds to the concern about the state of health of the queen, who had already had to cancel her visit to Glasgow for the COP26.

She had spent a night in the hospital at the end of October, the first in eight years.

His schedule has been greatly reduced in recent weeks, on the advice of his doctors.

But Elizabeth II still gave reassuring signs, for example by taking the wheel of her car in Windsor.

Last week she even traveled by helicopter to her property in Sandringham.
