UNIQLO will close the Myeongdong Jungang branch in Seoul on January 31st next year.

UNIQLO recently announced that the Myeongdong Central Store is open only until January 31st through the store information page on its website.

The Myeongdong Jungang Store was the second largest flagship store in the world at the time of its opening, with sales of 2 billion won on the day of opening.

However, the recent Corona 19 incident seems to have been a hit as the commercial district in Myeong-dong has stagnated.

Meanwhile, UNIQLO's domestic operator, FRL Korea, reported an operating loss of 88.3 billion won from September last year to August this year.

According to the FRL Korea audit report, FRL Korea's sales during this period amounted to 629.7 billion won, down 55% from the same period last year.
