Union Coop unveils a new project to support citizen entrepreneurs

Union Coop announced today the launch of its national project “Mirdif Parkway” with the aim of supporting local entrepreneurs who own small and medium enterprises, urging them to practice commercial activities and encouraging them to expand with investment, explaining that the project includes 34 Food Trucks in The land owned by the cooperative and adjacent to its commercial center “Etihad Mall” on a total area of ​​262,607 square feet.

The cooperative stated in a statement that it intends to establish three other similar projects during the coming period, after obtaining the necessary approvals from the concerned authorities.

The CEO of Union Coop, Khalid Humaid bin Dhiban Al Falasi, said that the cooperative decided to establish a new and innovative national project, which is a gathering of investment activities organized amid an integrated set of services and activities under the name “Mirdif Park Way”, which is the first of its kind in Dubai and the region in view of its objectives towards Attracting young people and localizing economic projects in the private sector to encourage and motivate citizens who wish to enter the labor market and increase production and investment.

He added that the cooperative will support project owners by providing support of up to 50% of the rental value compared to market prices, as it is not only localizing jobs, but also working to localize and maximize revenues in the private sector.

Al Falasi stressed that the cooperative will be keen in the Mirdif Parkway project to provide the necessary facilities for the target groups of its establishment to encourage them to start and expand its project, and the finest services will be provided to the community through it.

He pointed out that Mirdif Parkway constitutes a unique opportunity for citizens to start their projects and enter the world of investment, as it will provide 34 opportunities for citizens of small and medium enterprises, and a range of activities such as coffee shops, snacks, grills, burgers, pastas.
